I'm particularly interested in media literacy, the development and evaluation of media literacy programs, and the facilitation of media literacy at the family level among parents and youth alike. Related areas of interest include youths' identification and parasocial interaction with media figures, and how these phenomena relate to adolescent self-concept, gender attitudes, and expectancies toward alcohol, tobacco, and sexual activity.
